Piergiorgio Castellani

Tuscany, Italy

The quality of the wine begins in the vineyard.
— Piergiorgio Castellani

Six Family-Run Wine Estates

Fourth-generation winemaker Piergiorgio Castellani’s devotion to wine is evident in the location of his home: centrally located in an organic vineyard, where he can feel close to the land that nurtures his wines. His family has been exporting estate wines from their Tuscan home since 1903, crafting traditional wines that have been adored for generations, while embracing the latest winemaking innovations.

Growing grapes and making wine is an art. A kind of art handed down from father to son, which can only be learned through long, slow and laborious experience, taking place again and again according to the seasons’ cycle.
— Piergiorgio Castellani, Winemaker
